Our Goal

Our short-term goal is to have fun with flax and enjoy the many benefits it has to offer. Every part of the flax plant is biodegradable and produces zero waste. We therefore produce an environmentally safe product during every step of processing.

Our long-term goal is to ensure the shareable knowledge of flax growing and processing is not lost from future generations. 

We are defined by our model growth progression. In four years, we have established three (+1/2)  gardens using different seeds and harvesting / processing methods. We have developed a network of interest in flax production. This network includes, spinners and weavers, gardeners, hobby farmers, larger scale gardens/farms (The Flaxmobile Project and Taproot Fiber Lab), Seniors groups, and family and friends.

We will continue with our  gardens while encouraging and nurturing more flax gardeners to embrace the benefits of flax growing and processing; and to pass along the shareable knowledge to future generations.
